Amitabh Bachchan, the Shehanshah of bollywood who rocked with son Abhishek Bachchan in flicks like ‘Sarkar’ and ‘Paa’, is all set to be the first guest on Abhishek’s upcoming game show ‘Idea National Bingo Nights’ on Colors channel.

Amitabh Bachchan will go for some aaram(relaxation) through this show with son Abhishek, who wants  him to take a break from his hectic shooting schedule, considering his age and medical condition. But the real reason behind Big B’s coming to be the first participant on the game show is said to be the need of creating hype around Abhishek Bachchan’s first ever show on television.

The show will have thirteen episodes and the audiences can take part in it while sitting in their own drawing rooms. It is interactive and does not need any effort on the part of participants to win the game. After its first episode, the Abhishek Bachchan hosted show will have illustrious guests from bollywood like Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar,Vindoo Dara Singh, Pravesh Rana, Sonali Bendre and Kirron Kher for its future episodes.

Sources close to channel say that the decision to rope in Amitabh Bachchan for the first episode was taken after the phenomenal response to the last season of ‘Bigg Boss’ on Colors. The channel knew that only Big B could give the ‘National Bingo Nights’ the requisite start to get it itched in public memory, which was necessary to make it a success on television.

In fact, the buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Amitabh Bachchan has already been signed for the next season of ‘Bigg Boss’ by Colors due to his immense popularity and role in making the channel number one through the last season of the reality show. Oh yeah, Amitabh Bachchan did raise his remuneration by few crores before committing himself to colors for next season of Bigg Boss.

The grapevine has it that Colors channel is also trying to rope in Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter- in- law and Abhishek Bachchan’s better half Aishwarya Rai for a game show, but Ash is taking her own time in deciding about the project. Sources close to Bachchans say that the main stumbling block for Ash is her busy shooting schedule due to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’ and Mani Rathnam’s ‘Raavan’.

Till the time, Colors channel manages to rope in Aishwarya for their one of other shows, they are happy with roping in Big B for Abhsihek’s ‘Idea National Bingo Nights’. The show is going to be telecast from January 23 at 9 pm.
