After several jolts at the box office, Abhishek Bachchan seems to be learning from his mistakes. Not many know that director Puri Jagannath had offered him the lead role of the remake of the Tamil hit Pokiri. “But unfortunately, he didn’t like the script,” rues Puri.
Finally, when the film got remade as Wanted with Salman Khan in the lead, Puri was no more a part of the project. But it’s not hard to guess how Abhishek must have felt, when Wanted broke many box office records.
So this time round, when Puri again approached him for another remake, Junior B didn’t dare to say “no” to him. The director recently offered him the remake of his Telugu film The Businessman. “I have always wanted to work with Abhishek and we will start working on this film soon,” says Puri.
