Amitabh Bachchan was seen at a protest march in Bhopal shouting slogans and trying to get past a police barricade. The police personnel present were ready with water cannons and batons but that failed to dampen the spirits of the protestors. So what compelled the 70-year-old take to the streets?
It was the shooting of Prakash Jha's political drama Satyagraha. Reportedly, it is inspired by Anna Hazare's campaign against corruption where Amitabh will be seen playing the protagonist. Also seen amid the crowd was Ajay Devgn dressed in a white kurta and Nehru jacket. Apparently, his character is loosely based on Arvind Kejriwal. Apart from the duo, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai and Amrita Rao. After shooting the intense scene, which left the actor exhausted, he found time to post a few pictures of the ordeal at a social networking site. The Bhopal shoot has been an interesting one for Amitabh with the entire Bachchan family along with the one-year-old Aaradhya landing on the sets to keep him company.
Ajay Devgn got a surprise this Saturday. It was his 14th wedding anniversary and the actor was busy shooting. Kajol along with the kids and her mother-in-law landed on the sets of Satyagraha. The Devgn family is expected to stay in Bhopal for a few more days.
