Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Arjun Rampal joined a loud protest and braved water cannons in Bhopal.
Mind you, the trio hadn’t taken to the streets in protest against corruption or demanding justice for a rape victim. They were rather shooting for director Prakash Jha’s film Satyagraha. For the shoot a protest very similar to the one seen in Delhi in December was recreated.
The shoot had Amitabh Bachchan at the helm of the protest, dressed almost like an ideologue -- a bespectacled man with black shawl and white kurta.
“A revolt among the people for justice, for democratic right, lead by that bespeckled man with black shawl and white head gear in peace. But the system resorting to means which aggravate, which cause mayhem. Though the effort right till the end is one of tolerance but with a voice that needs to heard, despite brute force !!” the 70-year old superstar wrote on his blog and shared the pictures.
The shooting also had Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgn braving water cannons and other brute force of the ‘law-keepers’ trying to break the protest. “Wet and hit by the force of water canons, yet determined to get the voice of the people to be heard!!” Big B wrote. The Bhopal leg of the shoot of Satyagraha also has Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Rao shooting for the film.
