True or false?? Well, do not really know. But grapevine has it that it was Aishwarya Rai who took along hubby Abhishek Bachchan to the famous Oprah Winfrey’s show to the US. Or to say it in another way, Abhishek Bachchan has been invited to be on the show by Oprah Winfrey only because he happens to be the husband of a famous beauty icon, Aishwarya Rai.

In fact, skeptics  go to the extent of saying that Abhishek Bachchan has done little in his acting career(even after taking into account the success of ‘Dostana’ and ‘Guru’) to merit a place on the couch of Oprah Winfrey, where the likes of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman poured their hearts out.

Whatever, but Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were in the US last week to shoot for the world famous show, which will be telecast shortly.  Sources say that this will be first international chat show for Abhishek Bachchan as husband of giggle-specialist Aishwarya Rai. It will be interesting to see if Abhishek Bachchan remains his down- to- earth self or borrows from Aishwarya her diplomacy, and comes out with politically correct answers on the show.

It may be recalled that last time Aishwarya Rai had wowed Oprah Winfrey with her sensuous appearance in an Indian sari. Sources say that the host was so impressed with the sari that she had invited Aishwarya to show her how to wear it gracefully and sensuously and Aishwarya obliged the lady.

However, on one point Aishwarya could be on tricky ground and that is her well rehearsed lines about the importance of home and family values in her life, spoken on the  last occasion. Oprah Winfrey could grill the gorgeous beauty on these points and especially, when she is married now but staying away from becoming a mother and cooking for husband at home.

The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Aishwarya Rai is adept at handling such situations and question, as she has been in the limelight for a long time and achieved name and fame throughout the world. For instance, her wax statute adorns the Madame Tussauds in England, while she has been on the prestigious shows of David Letterman’s ‘Late show’ as well as Oprah’s earlier too. However, it will be for the first time for hubby Abhishek Bachchan and he should be extra vigilant about his answers, what say??
