While the media and the public alike are still raving about Amitabh Bachchan's unusual act in his latest release, Paa, the 68-year-old iconic superstar is now all set to play a role closer to his age. In director Puri Jagannathan's upcoming film on the life of Buddha, the Big B is all set to play a central role.

While details about the role and the film's story are being kept under wraps as of now, producer Madhu Mantena indicates the film will be ready for release by 2011. As of now, Mantena and Jagannath are busy preparing the final draft of the script. Once that is done, details about the rest of the cast, locations and the crew will be finalized.
