Instead of using the widely welcome Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding to rebuild fences and reinvigorate Bollywood bonhomie the Bachchans are using the occasion to settle scores.Here's on example of how their conduct is adding some vitriol to the otherwise sweet story of the lovebirds the whole country wishes to bless. itabh and Jaya, says TOI, were invited over the past weekend to release the music of Apoorva Lakhia's film Shootout At Lokhandwala, which stars Viveik Oberoi. But though the host waited till late in the evening, the chief guests did not turn up and Jeetendra and Rakesh Roshan had to do the honors.

Reports say that the Bachchans did not wish to 'face Viveik Oberoi, who plays the lead role in the film and hobnob with him to possibly stir up a media controversy at the time of the wedding'.The report also said that they feared that 'Viveik might say something to attract media attention' and therefore avoided being present at the show. And this, though they had asked for a minute-to-minute program of who will be present and who will speak at the function before accepting the invitation! Obviously, the Oberois have not been invited to the wedding. (Bollywood watchers must remember that at the height of the Aishwarya -Viveik romance, Viveik said on the Koffee With Karan show that the 'best place for Ash was in his arms). What's more, TOI reports that Jaya Bachchan expressed her disapproval of Viveik on national television on the same Koffee With Karan show last week! When he asked her to name a 'man on a mission', she answered rather sarcastically, 'Viveik Oberoi'!
